There are two ways to upgrade your Sun SIM to LTE: (1) Do It Yourself; (2) via Sun Shop or Smart Store.
Do It Yourself
1. Buy an LTE-Ready Self-Service Upgrade SIM from Sun Shops or Smart Stores, official retail partners (like SM Store, Robinsons Department Store, 7-Eleven, Ministop) or convenience stores for only Php10.
Using your current SIM, text GET PIN to 7927 for free. And you will receive an SMS containing 6-digit PIN. Just a few reminder. Don't share the unique upgrade code to anybody. Memorize or take note of your upgrade code. Your upgrade code is only valid for thirty (30) minutes.
2. Insert the new LTE Upgrade SIM on your phone. Wait for the menu prompt for upgrade code to appear.
3. Enter the 6-digit upgrade code, then press OK.
4. Keep your phone idle for 15 minutes, then restart your phone and wait for the successful SMS conformation. Your old mobile number will be retained.
Via Sun Shop or Smart Store
1. You may get the LTE Upgrade SIM for FREE in the nearest Sun Shop or authorized SIM upgrade center in your area, just bring the following: Old SIM and 1 Valid ID - preferably government issued.
2. The Sun/Smart representative will then process the LTE SIM upgrade.
3. Your new LTE SIM will be ready anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours after upgrading.
Your SIM is now LTE and you can still use your old mobile number as well as your remaining load balance, promo and MVP Rewards points in your old SIM. Register Sun promos to experience browsing speed of up to 42 Mbps, or you can Dial *247#.

And to check if your area is covered by TNT LTE network, visit apps.smart.com.ph/network and enter your city or municipality, and it will show 4 Signal Types including 2G, 3G, 4G and 4.5G.
