Stefan is a professor in the School of Education and Communucation at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. At the conference his key theme was one to one online learning. In this interview after his keynote, we enjoyed a wide ranging discussion around various theories of pedagogy, student engagement and participation, networjed learning, and the specific characteristics and practices that make a teacher effective in digitally mediated spaces. We also spent some time debating the evolution and trajectory of MOOCs and their significance for the future of education.
