The Riverside House - Master Bedroom

First I wanted to thank everyone who entered the giveaway last week! Emily Ferris is the winner! 

The Master Bedroom at the Riverside House is my favorite!  When we came out to see the house we felt like the bones of the room were really great.  There was lots of pretty trim work and the fireplace was really beautiful.  

We wanted to repaint, re-carpet, cover the weird fireplace nook with a big peace of art and add in lots of pretty furniture and accessories.  We decided to go with deep blues and purple tones keeping it sophisticated with both feminine and masculine touches.  

Whenever there is a weird cutout above a fireplace that is supposed to be for ivy or other knick-knacks I like to cover it with a huge piece of art. We bought Peninsula from Minted in the biggest size and had it framed in a thin gold frame. 

Our client had these poufs from Serena and Lily that we had recovered in this raspberry chevron fabric 

Our clients wanted some type of furniture that their kids could sleep on when they wandered into their room in the middle of the night as some kids do! This chaise is perfect.
