Protocol is a set of rules which governs data communication. It is an agreed upon format for transmitting data between two devices whereas Implementation is the realization of an application, or execution of a plan, idea, model, design, standard, or policy.
 Protocol Implementation refers to execution of that protocol or bringing the protocol into action for communication.
