BLOGSCAN - Single-Toothed Watchdogs

On the Scientific Misconduct Blog, Dr Aubrey Blumsohn has pithy comments about the dilemma facing anyone in the UK who tries to go to the "authorities" to report threats to integrity or professionalism. (Presumably, the situation may not be much better in other countries, including the US.) The obvious problem is the relationships those "authorities" have with other powerful people and organizations, resulting in supposed watchdogs each with but a single tooth.
