I finally had some new pictures taken of my house. We're most likely going to be moving in the next couple of years so I finally feel like we're done with major updates for awhile. It seemed like a good time to update my house tour. Jessica Kettle took all the pictures and I LOVE them. I can't wait to share them all but I thought I'd start with the Kitchen. (all the sources are listed at the bottom of the post).
Our lovely kitchen started out like this:
When we first bought our house we couldn't afford to upgrade to white cabinets so I patiently waited a few years until we were able to save up for it. It made such a difference when we had them painted. We also had installed a white subway tile backsplash. Our old kitchen table and chairs was a hand-me down from my parents. I found a great deal on a new table from West Elm. We still love it. Then I later replaced those black chairs with these beauties. I also got a new rug a few months ago and I love it. I can't even tell you what it does for my Kitchen. Because a kitchen is such a hard place to infuse pattern and color I feel like this rug does that perfectly. It's also dark enough that I don't worry about stains too much. I mean you could seriously spill ketchup on it and it wouldn't even show.
Here is how the space looks today.
