RSS syndication not Displaying Featured Images

I have an interesting problem I'm trying to figure out concerning RSS syndication and it not displaying featured images in Genesis. I have someone who wants to import an RSS feed from another site into a Genesis theme. The caveat? It has to be able to show the featured image. Which is fine.. until it doesn't work. Have anyone found a solution that works in this type of scenario? And it is legitimate in this case. They are porting articles from one related site to the new site this way (don't ask why..)
