Explain the following terms: In ring topology the signal moves clock or anti-clock wise? What do you mean by logical arrangement of devices? In a hybrid network, is the hub active or passive?
As the token or signal move in ring topology between two adjacent devices so this message that is in form of token can start its propagation on ring in clockwise direction or anti clock wise direction.
Any network topology is defined by the physical configuration as well as logical mapping of the data flow between the nodes in the network. Topology can be understood as the shape or structure of a network. This shape does not necessarily correspond to the actual physical design of the devices on the computer network. The computers on a network can be arranged in a circle but it does not necessarily mean that it represents a ring topology.
It depends on the type of network where it is used. Hub in a broadcast star network can be active or passive. An active hub renews the received electrical signal and sends it to all computers connected to the hub.
Passive hubs only serves as a connection point (connection point) and did not renew the signal amplification or signal.
