There are different network architectures which can be used to design a network. Point –to- Point network is one of them. This is the simplest network architecture which involves just two nodes. Each node is directly connected to the other with one connection line.
Intermediate node is any device through which your data reaches from source to destination. For example, if you have three devices connected in a series A--B--C, if the data is transmitted from device A to C through device B then the device B will be the intermediate node.
