What is the Encapsulation and Decapsulation?
During data transfer in form of packets, each layer of OSI model add its own information on that data packet that is necessary for data transmission across the network and to understand this data layer by layer at both ends. This is called data encapsulation. This process is commonly as encapsulation. This information is important during the delivery of data to the destination.

Decapsulation: Similarly when data reaches at destination, each layer removes its added (at sender end) part from the deliver encapsulated packet and read it to perform its functionality. This is called decapsulation.
