Many sources informed us about some exciting news: Japan has officially started a project whose goal is to revive the mammoths within five years.
Some DNA extracted from dead bodies in Russia will be used to modify an elephant egg and a female elephant should become a stepmother.
Mammoths went extinct about 10,000 years ago in America and 5,000 years ago in Eurasia. It's not because they began to drive too many SUVs; instead, it's mostly because a new, cleverly aggressive brand of monkeys - also known as the so-called humans - began to shoot them.
While mammoths were ready to live in the pretty cold climate many of us know, their job had been outsourced millions of years ago and their Indian and African colleagues, the elephants, remained the only memory about the once famous concept.
Japan plans to use the environmentally friendly, hairy, woolly mammoths instead of combustion to power their state-of-the-art Honda cars. However, the carmaker is trying to hide the information. Instead, the official explanation of the purpose is that the scientist wants to study ecology and he wants to ask the baby mammoth why his relatives went extinct. ;-)
